Shocking revelation!
So, while trying to get back into a better headspace…you know the one where you’re all hyped up to lose weight and exercise and excited as crazy about it all? I’ve been kinda in a stasis…a holding period….which is usually the first sign of the slacking period…and the then backsliding period. Since I’m SO not going there again…ever!….I’m trying to get back to the headspace I started in…and to do this I’ve started a bunch of lists. I’m famous for my lists. I love lists. They so much fun!
Anyway, the lists will surely follow (as I can hardly keep track of my arduous journey to a healthy, skinnier me without lists!)…but while doing certain activities…a very shocking revelation came to light and I couldn’t wait to share it…
I started at 248 pounds (yes you’re allowed to cringe…Lord knows I do!)…and my goal weight is currently 180 (I weighed that when I graduated highschool…I’d LOVE to get back there!…the weight, not highschool). Since I figure Math is the tool of the devil, it took me quite a while to figure out the very simple math of this equation.
248-180= 68 pounds to lose.
248-211= 37 pounds already lost.
68-37= 31 pounds left to go.
(how many of you are going to cry when I tell you I had to use a calculator for that? LOL!)
Do you see the math!? (don’t worry if you don’t…took me a while too! And I was doing it! LOL!!)
I’M OVER HALFWAY THERE!!!
I feel like I’ve only just started, but I’m already past the halfway point…and I am SOOO not looking back now!!
How’s that for putting you back into the right headspace?? Sure better than a kick in the pants!! LOL!
oh girl! i would give anything to be at the same pount your at! Don’t you dare go back! You are MORE THAN HALF WAY THERE! THAT IS SOOOOOOO SOOOO AWESOME! So, you can do it, you can make it the last half! Oh man, think of how AWESOME that is going to FEEL! And how PROUD of yourself you are going to be! he he he. Keep it up, get back in your right frame of mind ~ make as many lists as you need to lol.
Good work!
That’s some good math. Must be that new stuff. Either way the numbers are in you favor baby! You are over halfway there!!!!!!!!!! WOWEE!!!!!!
You are doing a SUPER job and keep on with your lists. I have notebooks full of lists made 26 years ago when I weighed 265. I still make the lists and love looking over the old ones. I have my weight listed for the week, menu plans, exercise done, mood I was in, everything. My sucesses and failures, and why I think I back-slid for a few days. But I always came back on plan and until the death of my beloved two years ago, I had kept my weight under control. But the lonliness got to my eating and I gained 20 pounds. But now that is back to normal. I found out I am pretty good company for myself. Keep loving yourself and making lists!! Hugs, Marge
Oh my God! You are so right. I did the math and I am over halfway there. What a motivator! (I had to use a calulator too)

“Here’s lookin at you kid!” *wink* That T-totally Ticker Kickin’! I’m going to try and not pout because I’M not half way!! Wow… you’ve come a long way. Go rent the ‘Rocky’ movies. Start with Rocky I and go all the way to Rocky V… the theme song is one I work out to!! I find it motivational anyway. Or watch ‘Rudy’. Anything that portrays someone that nobody had much faith in, but ends with them a hero. Cliche’ I know, but it always helps me get back on track. I think… I have started and stopped dieting so many times that people just don’t expect me to go this and keep the weight off… but I’m going to do it, darn it! and they can be the people that stand there in the end of the movie with their jaws dropped wondering how in the world I did it! LOL. Let’s shock ‘em! Goooooooo…. Chai!! Ra, Ra, Ree…
i’m lovin the maths! (dw.. i’d need a calc too ;D) you’ve lost SO MUCH. im jealous! but i’ll be on par with you one day! you’re doing so well, keep it up and the smaller chunk of weight will be gone before you know it
xx
Your right, math is a tool of the devil ! But those are some awesome calculation skills ! CONGRATS on the weight loss
I am so proud of you!!!!!! HALF WAY THERE!!!!!! THat is incredible!!!!!! Keep up the good work and you will be at your goal in no time at all. Congrats!!!!!! Oh yeah–and that math equation hurt my head–going to lie down now! LOL!
Amazing! Great job! You’ve inspired me - I’ve just started out and will do the same as I go along (I’ll need a calculator too - definitely!)

THAT’S MY GIRL! KEEP IT GOING!
