FRIDAY! A Challenge Is Issued…

I don’t know what this means to the rest of you…but for me it means my husband will be home….and YAY! I get a day off!  It also means a struggle with my diet and exercise as I watch someone eat food that looks SO good…but isn’t for me anymore, and it means I have to really talk myself into exercise instead of having a much needed and wanted nap.  A lot of weekends…I struggle with maintaing myself.  Anyone else out there the same?  Monday to Friday…not so hard.  Saturday Sunday?  Lord Save us all!!!

This Friday however, I am totally motivated to NOT fall back into back habits and keep myself in grace instead.  A friend and I are challenging ourselves (thank you very much for issuing the challenge!) to not only keep going with the exercise thru the weekend, but to do 10% more.  Be it 10% harder or 10% longer….we’re going to do even better this weekend that we have this week…(and no, this is not a commercial for sex products!)

And I challenge  each and every one of you to do the same!  Add some time on your workouts or reps to your weights and see how far you can go this weekend….and be sure to tell me about it come Monday because I’d love to know how everyone fared!!

Here’s to a weekend of wonder workouts!!!

Oh Chai what perfect timing! I so need this! In the beginning weekends were super tough for me, too. Now I am finally using the time to really go the gym and stay there or to take those long dog walks I can’t always do during the week. That plus my man and I not eating out as much. I am on for this weekend as I am in trouble here with bad habits in full swing and I need to go go go!

I swear we must be related!!!! :) I would do great M-F–my husband doesn’t get home til 9pm-10pm through the week–so we don’t eat together so it’s not a problem. The weekends were always a struggle until this high blood pressure issue-and I knew I had to quit screwing around! We rarely go out to eat anymore and I bought a TON of healthy cookbooks-and I plan my weekend meals ahead of time so I know what I am doing!!! If you need any recipes–just let me know!!! On the rare occasion that we do go out–we are this weekend–I only eat 1/2 of what is on my plate and put the rest in a to go box immediately–if it’s something fairly healthy I will have the next day–if not–the dog gets a very special treat!!!! :) You are not alone!!!!!!! HOpe this helps some!!! Hang in there an plan ahead!!!!

LMAO! The sex ad line almost made me fall out of my chair…because that is the first thing that popped in my head when I read “10% harder or 10% longer”. Great too know I’m not the only dirty minded blogger around, lol. And then a challenge! Jeez, now I have to listen to Leslie for 30 min instead of 15…but thanks for the motivation!

Great idea!!! I think I am going to add 5 minutes to my 50 minute work out, and when I walk my 4 mile walks, say it takes me 40 minutes, I am going to add another 5 minutes time to my walking!!

Some times on weekends I do have trouble staying focused.. but here is my secret… I have a size 16 pants, brand new sitting upstairs on a hanger infront of my side of the bed, so when I start feeling I am off track, I go look at them… and then go walk LOL You have done so good so far!! Keep up the good work. You are awesome inspiration and motivation!!!
